This session speaks to my heart! A mom, her baby, and the love between them…the adoration in that little girl’s eyes every time she looks at her mama. I savored every sweet image when I was processing them, I just kept melting at all the love this baby has for her mom. It reminds me so much of my own baby girl, and it makes my heart so happy! I loved the informality of this session and the true moments of love that I was able to capture. Enjoy!

Anytime I have a photo session, it gives me a unique opportunity to see more intimately into the life of the family I am photographing. It is a privilege as well as a responsibility, my main goal being that I capture the heart of the family. I am always honored to be asked to have that special peak into their personal lives, and I leave feeling closer to them. It is possibly even more special to me when it’s a family I have already known and loved, it makes me love them even more. I will miss this family terribly when they leave! I am so glad we got to take some time to capture their ‘heart’ before they go.

Baby Love

As most of you know, I recently had a sweet baby…whom I am quite obsessed with at the moment. Perhaps that is why my heart is so full just looking at these pictures of an adoring mommy and her precious baby. Or perhaps it is just the love that emits from them. Either way, I adore these images and I hope you do, too. I mixed up the ‘posing’ with the interactions between mom and baby, something I have been wanting to do for awhile, and I love the results. Enjoy!

The next two make my heart want to burst!

Hello! So, it’s pretty apparent that I dropped of the face of the blog-sphere there for awhile…a long LONG while. I have been so lucky to be able to take a nice long maternity leave to enjoy my sweet, precious baby. However, she isn’t so new anymore, and it’s time for me to get back behind the camera. What better way than to photograph the cutest couple ever? I am a bit biased seeing as how this is my darling sister-in-law whom I love more than words…she has found an amazing guy to spend the rest of her life with and lucky for me, they asked me to take some engagements for them!

Girls and the Cold.

This family was my last session before going on maternity leave, and let me just give credit where credit is due…these girls toughed out probably the coldest day of the year so far…and did it with a smile. These are some tough cookies! So glad, because I love this family and I am happy we were able to do this before it was too late. Enjoy!

These Boys.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. I really, really look forward to my yearly session with these boys. They are real, and I don’t have to push them to be anything but themselves. I love discussing Stargate Atlantis (which I know nothing about, I swear) in between the clicks of the camera. I love discussing the gross smells in the alley ways. I love every topic they regale me with as we click, click, click away. They are them, and I love it.

Before I begin with this family’s sneak peak, please indulge me and my thoughts…I know I am not the only person who loves a smooshy little baby, so perhaps you can relate when I say that I am basically in love with this family’s newest addition. Something about that face just makes me melt into a puddle of baby hungry gooeyness…which is bizarre considering that not only do I have my own baby, (who I love to bits), I also have one on the way! This is not normally the time I would be fawning over a child that is not mine…but I can’t help it.

In addition to the baby sweetness, this family is quite gorgeous, wouldn’t you say? Please enjoy the blog peak (and check out those baby lips in that first picture…LOVE!)
